Campaign for Recovery

OdysseyNH is in the process of raising money toward our Campaign for Recovery to raise $750,000 to equip our Recovery School as well as significantly enhance the quality of our established programs.  Our charge is to continue to provide the best care and offer cutting-edge services for our clients.

It is with support from our donors and the community that, together, we can reach our goals.

Below are some of the exciting things that are happening because of our generous community!

  • A commercial kitchen with equipment and furnishings has been outfitted which will be used by the school to prepare daily on-site meals and as the classroom for its culinary program.  The kitchen will also serve as an important resource for agency-sponsored adolescent and family after school programs.
  • Near completion of the OdysseyNH Academy so students can receive the individualized curriculum and attention crucial to success.  The state-of-the-art Academy is designed to be open, friendly and inviting to students, families and staff.
  • Expanded students' remedial, elective and advanced placement options, through internet-based learning system.
  • Two fifteen-seat vans have been purchased to ensure students have daily transportation from the PACE program to the Odyssey Academy in Hampton. Students will also enjoy additional opportunities for field trips and other activities.
  • Plans and materials have been generously donated to landscape the grounds of the Academy to provide an attractive, open and inviting space both inside and out.
  • Time and expertise has been donated to design and create a client management database to ensue that staff can efficiently and effectively track and record client activity and treatment progress.
  • Purchase new desks and furniture for the Recovery School.
  • Replacement of the dining room furniture at ATC (Adolescent Therapeutic Center) is underway.
  • The addition of psychiatric consultation will be available for the Recovery School.
  • Funds provide supervision opportunities for staff who are interested in becoming Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselors.
  • Architectural services provide plans for future updates to the ATC.

Although we have reached 72% of our campaign goal, there is still work to be done.  Outlined below are needs that remain to be fulfilled.  Reaching our goal of $750,000 ensures that all of our campaign objectives will be met.

The Odyssey Academy and Recovery School

  • Outfit the Academy’s multi-purpose room, with audience capacity for 60, with portable staging, risers, podium and digital piano to facilitate student performances and school assemblies.
Provide a permanent sign and flagpole for Academy.
  • Design and construct an entryway at the Academy to minimize wear and tear on the building and provide an attractive, open and inviting entrance

Residential Treatment Service

  • Purchase new vehicles to replace aging vans for the Family Center (OFC) in Canterbury.
  • Renovate, improve and purchase new furniture for approximately one thousand square feet of former classroom space at the ATC, to be used for recreational space for the thirty residents in treatment. Currently space is limited to an outdoor basketball court and several small lounges.
  • Renovate first floor ATC space for a resident laundry facility. Presently the laundry is located in a very inaccessible basement area.
  • Replace worn and damaged bedroom and lounge furniture throughout the ATC. Most of the current furniture is over twenty years old.
  • Replace worn carpet and damaged doors at the ATC to ensure resident’s safety and comfort.

Technology

  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of OdysseyNH’s clinical and administrative departments by replacing outdated and inadequate computers.
